We are a very active Cub Pack and we are always looking for new things for the Cubs to try. We take part in a wide range of activities, from the activities on a Monday evening, visiting places or having people visit us, to camps and days out.
Parents of current Cubs can join the 1st Gorleston Cubs Facebook page to see pictures of what the Cubs get up.
Activities
A few examples include;Chinese New Year, Diwali, Fun Fair evening, Halloween, IT evening at a local school, water games and a BBQ.
Camps
A few examples include;Novice camp, District camp, SeaLife Sleepover, Summer camp and 6er & 2nder camp.
Trips
A few examples include;BeWilderwood (Norwich), National Space Centre (Leicester), Natural History Museum (London), Warwick Castle.
Visits and Visitors
A few examples include;10 Pin bowling, Fire station, Jump Warehouse, Police, Lifeboat station, martial arts, Pets at Home, Lowland Search and Rescue.
camps and Days Out
We camp several times each year and try to take the Cubs on at least one big day out a year. Our most recent trip was to the Natural History Museum in London, September 2024, where we all enjoyed a fun-filled day.

Warwick Castle
District Cub Competitions
Wiltshire Trophy
An annual Scouting Skills competition, within the District, which started in 1950. In 2024, we won for the seventh year in a row.
Dodgeball
Held again in 2024. We entered two teams, with one of our teams winning the competition for the second time in a row.
Bowling
Re-introduced in 2024, after a long period of not being held. We finished third, in what was a very close competition
Swimming Gala
Was re-introduced in 2018, after several years of not being held. We proudly won the Swimming Gala in 2018.
Road Safety
A competition held every two years. The last competition was held in 2018.
